Chandler Township People
During the 11 August 2007 Howard Family Reunion held at the Chandler Township Hall, Judy Slocum played the banjo that belongs to Scott Buckmaster. Scott held a picture of his Great Grandpa Albert Howard playing the same banjo which had originally belonged to Albert when he lived on top of Chandler Hill on Magee Road. Judy Slocum is a talented music performer and instructor who lives in Chandler Township, and is a descendant of two Chandler Township Pioneer Families ~ Howard and Fraley.
Albert and Alta Magee Howard
Albert played the banjo, as mentioned in the photo at the very top of this webpage. His wife Alta played the piano, as shown in the photo below right, for the wedding shower of Inis Howard and Ralph Harmon (in the home of Inis' parents Roscoe and Bertha Fraley Howard).
Herb Howard Jr.
Herb Howard Jr. is an entertainer who excels with both singing and guitar playing.
Herb's parents Herb & Ida Hadix Howard, and Herb's grandparents Noah & Annie Sanders Howard all lived on Chandler Hill.

Junior and neighbor/friend Bud Gallop both played their guitars for area entertainment events.

I do not ever remember my Great Grandma Marion Mackie Wood ever playing a piano. I know at one point she had given a piano to my mother Marion Bush Howard who played the piano, some but, not much. I can remember the piano being in our living room, but I do not know what ever became of the piano... anyone else know?
I have found in Great Grandma Wood's 15 September 1952 diary: "David, Marion & Cub came & they took the piano. The parlor looks very desolate."
